At PartSmart.uk, I value transparency and integrity in every interaction. As a private seller—not a retailer—I do not operate under commercial consumer regulations, but I do strive to provide a fair and honest approach to refunds and returns.

General Return Policy

All items sold on this website are described as accurately as possible and are sold on an "as-is" basis. Most items are second-hand, pre-owned, or personally refurbished. This means some natural signs of wear, previous use, or minor cosmetic imperfections should be expected. These characteristics are part of the item’s story and are always reflected in the listing.

Because I am a private individual:

  • I am not legally obliged to accept returns or offer refunds under UK consumer law in the same way a business is.

  • I do not operate under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, nor am I subject to distance selling rules that apply to commercial entities.

Exceptions

That said, I care about fairness. In rare cases, I may offer a return or refund under the following conditions:

  • If the item is significantly not as described in the listing.

  • If the item arrives damaged in transit and photographic evidence is provided within 48 hours of receipt.

  • If I made an error in the listing that substantially impacts the item’s function or value.

Process for Returns

If a return is accepted:

  • The buyer is typically responsible for return shipping costs, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

  • Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were originally sent.

  • Refunds will only be issued after the returned item is received and inspected.
